Events are amongst many of our specialties here at The Derby Conference Centre and an area in which we excel in, is tailoring events to suit our visitors.
Back in June, the Jensen Owners club held their AGM at our venue. The Jensen Owners Club, are a group of Jensen car owners worldwide who attend events throughout the year both nationally and internationally. The club currently have over 1400 members.
For their annual meeting, the club wanted to hold a planned drive, a dinner dance with an after-dinner speaker, and a concourse competition. We made sure that they had everything they needed to guarantee a fantastic evening.
Stuart Allan is the International Weekend Organiser for the Jensen Owners Club.
“We knew of the Derby Conference Centre as a few of our members had previously used their facilities and were impressed. The central location was perfect for us, as attendees come from all corners of the UK, Europe and some even fly from other continents.”
The club also required a venue which accommodated for over 50 rooms, which is another great reason why people choose to hold their event with us. Stuart was particularly impressed with the selection of differently sized meeting rooms and car parking facilities.
“The centre has a spectacular frontage with great photo opportunities. The staff are always smiling and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, not to mention the catering and overall service which was excellent!”
